Amethyst Addiction Treatment Programs

Amethyst House has identified three program goals:

  1. To aid the recovering addict in maintaining abstinence.
  2. To assist the recovering person in making the transition back into society.
  3. To aid in the establishment of personal habits that will accomplish the first two goals.

Our supportive housing programs for individuals recovering from alcoholism and drug addiction are:

In these programs, Amethyst House provides a structured environment for clients, with regular client-staff interaction to facilitate the recovery process.

Residents come to us from residential treatment units, detoxification centers, hospitals, social service agencies and self-referral. The first need we meet at his time is physical survival. We provide food and shelter for a time. During this time the resident and staff develop a personalized service plan.

The halfway house is largely self-supporting, so from the first the resident is encouraged to find work and assume financial responsibilities.
